“The jury carefully deliberated and also took the time to record their insightful comments: This project is a very conscientious intervention that transformed an existing, utilitarian structure. The multi-function program is held together by a consistent yet varied materials palette creating a warm inviting studio environment. This warmth is contrasted on the exterior with bold roof forms and accent colors highlighting the buildings’ separate entrances. The jury appreciated the simplicity in this thoughtful architectural design.”
