Aaron was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Geography at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. He grew up camping and hiking with his family and has always loved being outdoors. After hiking the Appalachian Trail in 2001, Aaron spent a couple of months helping his cousin remodel his 19th century farm house in Maine. Aaron now resides in Charlottesville where he discovered that he could pursue his new found interest in carpentry and still be close to the Appalachian mountains. Aaron also plays the drums and mandolin for the contra dance band Floorplay.
