PROJECT: Architecture & Construction
DESCRIPTION: Residential Addition
This addition to a typical 1940’s four-over-four, designed by Rowen Barton Studios, added living space and a screened porch on the first floor, a master bedroom suite with a walk-out deck on the second floor, and a basement living area for the two teenage kids. The new structure takes advantage of the vertical space available on an oddly shaped city lot with challenging set-back constraints. The result is a vertically oriented addition that opens into the tree canopy and provides a view over the tree tops of the adjacent hillside.
