PROJECT: Architecture & Construction
DESCRIPTION: Residential Renovation and Addition

After 16 years in their home, these homeowners were ready to do the renovation they’d always envisioned; not a small refresh, but a full transformation. With their kids now grown, it was finally time to create spaces that reflected who they are: vibrant, modern, and full of life.

They wanted to go bold! To make the home feel joyful, high quality, and filled with natural light. It wasn’t about adding square footage, but about using the space differently – improving flow, warmth, and connection throughout.

The kitchen became the heart of that change. A new picture window above the sink now frames the backyard, flooding the room with sunlight. Custom mahogany shelving, turquoise bespoke tile, and Brazilian soapstone bring color and texture, creating a space that feels both energizing and grounded. Two tall pantry units add storage and structure, while layered lighting makes the room glow from morning to night.

Upstairs, the primary suite was completely reimagined for calm and comfort. The bathroom’s Mondrian-inspired tile design adds a playful element, while the soaking tub and dual-shower setup offer a true sense of retreat. A sleek integral sink, thoughtful storage, and new windows make the space bright and functional. The adjoining bedroom feels serene and cohesive with fresh hardwood floors, custom built-ins, and warm light that carries throughout.
One of the most charming moments in the home? A hallway closet turned into a cozy reading nook- complete with custom millwork, built-in bookshelves, hidden storage, and an upholstered bench. It’s an intimate space that perfectly reflects the homeowners’ love for color, comfort, and joyful design.

For this couple, the renovation wasn’t just about looks. It was about creating a home that mirrors their energy, their joy, and the life they’ve built — a space that feels like them.
