Dan Zimmerman, AIA

ARCHITECT | PRINCIPAL | SKATEBOARDER

Dan was born in Guam and grew up in Winchester, Virginia. He attended Virginia Tech and received his bachelors in Architecture degree in 1996. After graduating, he interned with a small architecture firm in Winchester. During his internship, he bought a log cabin built in 1783 and completely renovated it in his “free time”. Dan later moved to NYC where he worked as a project architect for a medium-sized firm for a few years before moving back to Virginia. He is now partner/founder of Alloy Workshop.

When he’s not working, Dan plays the bass in a local band and loves to spend time with his family – whether it’s camping in his backyard, going to games or watching Jeopardy.
