Licensed Contractor. Principal.

Zach was born in Morgantown, West Virginia and lived there until he finished a Bachelors of Recreation, Parks and Tourism Resources from West Virginia University’s School of Forestry. After working in Recreation Management and for a small sustainable logging company for a few years after college, Zach wanted to learn more about creating houses from logs so he put down the chainsaw and picked up a hammer. His undeniable roots to the central Appalachian region brought him to Charlottesville, Virginia in 2001 and he went to work for a small family owned contracting firm. Zach has been enthusiastically doing residential construction since then and is now partner / cofounder of Alloy Workshop.  Currently Zach manages the construction component of Alloy Workshop and is continually inspired by developing Alloys’ business management practices and  refining our construction processes. Zach holds National Association of Home Builders CAPS, CGP, and CGR designations.
