Project Gait-Way emerged as an answer to the rally cry of citizens, unsatisfied with current re-design efforts of the Belmont Bridge. Open to the public and encouraging collaboration between inspired professionals and the community at large, the Belmont Bridge Design Competition is seeking innovative and extraordinary solutions.

The response has been overwhelming, gaining support from the City Council and inspiring UVA’s Architecture School to hold their own in-house workshop on the Belmont Bridge and other gateways in the city. With such exciting interest, the competition’s deadline has been extended by one month with entries due by 6pm on February 11th. Come out and show your support for the inspiring entries on display to the public February 13th thru the 19th at The Bridge PAI. And be sure to keep up-to-date on competition happenings via the Project Gait-Way website at http://www.projectgaitway.com/.
